Churches Together carol in Costa

Christmas carols cheer Cheshire coffee-shop customers!

Churches Together in Alderley Edge brought a little festive cheer to Costa in Alderley Edge today, swapping their regular Sunday afternoon meeting for some carol-singing at the London Road coffee shop.

Rev Jane Parry (of St Philip and St James Parish Church) and Rev Ben Clowes (of Alderley Edge Methodist Church) led the carolers through the classic festive verses whilst collecting money for Christian Aid which works to help those in need all around the globe.

Churches Together in Alderley Edge is a group of the four churches in the village (St Philip and St James Parish Church, St Mary's Parish Church, St Pius X Catholic Church and Alderley Edge Methodist Church) and is affiliated to Churches Together in Cheshire.

The group will be singing alongside Macclesfield Salvation Army Band on Thursday 20th December at The Parade from 6pm. They will also be singing carols outside Barclays on London Road on Saturday 22nd December from 10:30am.
