Amazon original motoring show The Grand Tour - starring Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May - is back for its second series next month.

Season 2 of The Grand Tour returns to Amazon Prime Video on 8th December, with the former Top Gear trio just about fighting fit despite a number of injuries and illnesses making the headlines during its filming.

Clarkson, Hammond and May created what is being described as “the world's greatest show about three middle-aged men rampaging around the world having unusual adventures, driving amazing cars, and engaging in a constant argument about which of them is the biggest idiot,” after Clarkson was dropped by the BBC.

Although it is in fact the only show that combines these elements, therefore rendering the 'greatest' title pretty much uncontested, the concept is one which has been lapped up by fans eager to tune in to witness their hapless exploits.

The first series of The Grand Tour was full of suggestive remarks, disparaging the stars’ former employer, and it looks like series two may be no different!

The theme tune to the trailer, for instance, is live and let die - a subtle hint that the new Top Gear starring Matt Le Blanc is dying whilst the new Clarkson-fronted show is thriving, perhaps?

We’ll leave you to make your own mind up! The Grand Tour returns on 8th December.
